In the spring of 2016, the Portland Public School district was roiled by revelations that there was lead in drinking water at some district schools.
PPS hired Stoll Berne to conduct an investigation. The investigation was undertaken by Steve Berman and Tim DeJong. Within minutes of the report being released to the public, the district’s superintendent resigned.
