The firm defended GameWear, Inc., a sports memorabilia manufacturer, against claims of breach of contract, trade libel, and intentional interference with economic relations. After successfully moving to vacate a default judgment obtain by the plaintiff before Stoll Berne was retained, Rob Shlachter filed counterclaims on behalf of GameWear and litigated the case for almost two years, including a significant discovery dispute for which Stoll Berne obtained an award of attorney fees on behalf of GameWear. The case ultimately settled on terms favorable to the client.
