Shlachter speaks at Patent Litigation CLE on February 23rd

Rob Shlachter spoke at a CLE regarding patent litigation in 2016.  The CLE was hosted by the Oregon State Bar Intellectual Property and Litigation Sections and the Federal Bar Association.

The CLE topics included:

Pre-litigation planning (notices, Rule 11, venue, pleading requirements); PTO reviews and impact on copending litigation; creative ways to reduce expense and length of patent suits; professionalism and effective use of local counsel; fact discovery (scope, protective orders, amended FRCP); critical stages at pretrial, including preliminary injunctions, Markman hearings and tutorials, and Daubert hearings; and trial, including effective presentations, graphics, experts, and judges’ and jurors’ advice to trial counsel.
