Monsanto’s Roundup connected to gluten intolerance

Composition with bread and rolls isolated on whiteGlyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup® herbicide, was reported to be “the most important causal factor” in the worldwide increase of gluten intolerance and celiac disease, according to a paper written by MIT scientist Stephanie Seneff and Dr. Anthony Samsel and published by the Journal of Interdisciplinary Toxicology.  The paper indicated that the growing problem in most prevalent in Europe and North America, where individuals diagnosed with celiac disease are reporting numerous symptoms including nausea, diarrhea, depression, skin rashes and macrocytic anemia.
