Stoll Berne’s clients prevail in proposed class action ruling against Philip Morris before the Oregon Court of Appeals

Law and justice concept, gavelStoll Berne won an appeal yesterday in the Oregon Court of Appeals in which the court held that the firm’s clients could lead a class action against Philip Morris on behalf of Oregon consumers of Marlboro Light cigarettes.  

The court held that the plaintiffs may bring a class action for claims that Philip Morris misrepresented that its Marlboro Light cigarettes were lower in tar and nicotine than other cigarettes.
